Mesmerized
And we danced
through the flowers
like fire,
something hot
in that grassy stead-
outshone the sun
with our brightness,
lost in brilliance,
we were a team, a force
to be reckoned with.
Not a single force in the world,
could collide with our figures,
untouchable- we were
on top
of this lonely, twisted world.
The flowers, their beauty seared me
and I think they seared you too-
for they too were bright,
and they too were brilliant
and if you aren't careful-
you'll miss so much in a blink
and get lost in them.
(That is why we went our separate ways.)
(Even the best of things must end.)
